Movement Assessments
Understand Your Body, Move with Confidence
A movement assessment shows how well your body moves — its strengths, patterns, and areas that may need support. When you move with balance and ease, you can stay active, strong, and pain-free in exercise, sports, and daily life.
The assessment gives us a clear starting point to design a program that fits you — whether it’s rehabilitation, training, or improving everyday movement. Click the links above or scroll down to learn about each assessment type.

Movement Therapy Assessment Process
This assessment is for people receiving Movement Therapy. Movement Therapy is a method of physical rehabilitation that is focused on resolving the pain, compensation, and limitation associated with your body’s movement system.

Here’s how it works:
Part 1 - Collect and Review your Health and Injury History
We start by discussing your health history, previous injuries, and any care you’ve had, like physical therapy, chiropractic care, or surgery. We also ask about stress and lifestyle factors that may affect your body. This helps us see how your movement patterns developed and what may be contributing to pain or limitations.
Part 2 - Perform the Movement Assessment
Next, we evaluate your current movement health with activities such as walking, squatting, lunging and joint-specific movements. We look for compensatory movement patterns and joint and soft tissue restrictions that are at the root of your current condition - injury, discomfort, limited performance.
Part 3 - Discuss Assessment Findings and Solutions
Finally, we review the assessment results and create a plan to improve your movement health. This includes Movement Therapy sessions that restore natural movement, reduce pain, and help you move freely again.
MoveFit - Personal Training Assessment Process
This assessment is for those who are engaging MoveFit Personal Training, which improves fitness and performance while using a movement-focused approach. It’s for individuals without major injuries or limitations.

Here’s how it works:
Part 1 - Review Intake and 5 Whys Forms
To bring, we go through the intake to review your health history, injury history, current pain or injuries as well as lifestyle variables - physical activity, nutrition, sleep, etc. In addition, we talk about the goals you want to achieve.
The 5 Whys Form helps uncover your deeper motivations — what experiences you want to have as a result of achieving your goals and those you want to avoid if you do not take action. We will capture both to help keep you engaged and accountable throughout the training journey.
Part 2 - Perform the Movement Assessment/Educate about the Body and How it Moves
Next, we will explore your current movement health with activities such as walking, squatting, lunging as well as your capacity to move in ways that are specific to each joint. We identify strengths, limitations, and movement patterns that may need adjustment to prevent future injury.
Part 3 - Discuss Assessment Findings and Create Your Plan
Finally, we will discuss the assessment findings, map out the training plan and schedule your first Movefit - Personal Training session.
